Remembering Ty

There has been a Facebook group established posting memories of Ty. It won't take long for those that do not know him to understand why is he is so special and so loved. If you have a Facebook account, you can join as the group is "open." If you have a memory of Ty you'd like to post, please go there to share it.

There will be a candle light vigil tonight in front of his home in Brentwood, Tennessee. Pictures from that experience will posted here as well.

Sunday Evening

The Osman family will be traveling home sometime today, probably. They are completely exhausted and request some private time with their extended families as they all travel towards home today and tonight.

Some have asked to be able to meet them at the airport, but we ask to wait till arrangements are made so that all may surround them physically. It is very obvious that they are all surrounded in prayer. Please pray that they get some rest over the next 24 hours or so.

We love the Osmans - keep lifting them up.

Sunday Morning

We regret to announce the passing of Ty Howard Osman II. He has succumbed to the severe injuries he sustained on 3/2/12. We celebrate, along with his family, the great gift of God he was to all who knew him. The family wishes to thank friends and loved ones for the ocean of prayers raised up on Ty’s behalf. Ty Sr., Nancy, Adair, and Kendall continue to covet your prayers as they negotiate the difficult days to come.

Ty had made his wishes known to be an organ donor. The family is honoring that request as they make the necessary arrangements over the next 12-24 hours.

Further arrangements for Ty’s memorial service are pending.

May God give grace, mercy, and peace to us all as we grieve a tremendous loss.

Afternoon Update on Ty

Ty continues to be increasingly stable in reference to his vital functions……blood pressure, heart rate, ventilation. The status of his blood clotting remains good. He is still in a coma.

Repeat CT scan results showed mixed findings. The brain swelling is improved, but there are quite a few areas that suggest stroke-like injury, probably from poor blood flow when Ty’s blood pressure was low before medical treatment could be given. It is too early for the neurosurgeon to speculate on the ability of these areas to improve.

The surgeon now feels safe to place the monitor that measures intracranial pressure and that will be done soon……..a bedside procedure.

All the college students (20-30) have been in to see Ty. The staff continues to be very supportive and Godly. We have laid hands on Ty and called on God for healing. Many ministering saints are holding our hands.

Please continue to pray for healing. Pray for a safe procedure as well.

Update From Trey Burch

I know everyone has heard that Ty was involved in a really bad wreck. Having been the one to help keep him breathing and load him in to the ambulance, I can tell everyone what happened. He has 3 broken ribs which pierced his liver, spleen, and collapsed his lungs. He sustained serious head trauma and is on a ventilator to breath for him. He is still in critical condition, but he IS STABLE. He is scheduled to have a CAT scan later which will tell us more. The next 24-48 hours are crucial. Continue to pray not for just Ty but also just as much for his family.

Thank everyone so very much!

He is at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.

Please, no phone calls or visitors  for the family at this time; but continue to offer the power of prayer as your ultimate support.

Saturday Morning

Ty came out of surgery last night for some internal injuries and is now in the ICU.

Ty has his family and several of his best friends at his side. Prayers for recovery, lifting up Ty and his family, are what is need right now.
